In our quest to improve healthcare delivery with every client engagement, we value the importance of recruiting and retaining top talent. To that end, we are proud of our relationship with Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (MSB). It’s our aim to become the employer of choice for MSB students and graduates. Over the past two years, Healthlink Advisors executives have participated in various MBA forums, panels, and recruiting events on campus. With overwhelming interest from the MSB students, this Spring the team interviewed students for full-time employment and summer internship opportunities. We are proud of these efforts resulting in four individuals joining our firm.
We welcome Brendan Melanophy and Ralph Navarrete to the Healthlink Advisors team. They join Vaspaan Patel, Senior Consultant, who joined us last summer from the same program. Ralph joins the firm as a Senior Consultant, and Brendan joins us as part of our summer internship program.
After completing his BS in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, Ralph began his career in healthcare as a medical device engineer. He was involved in the implementation and integration testing for medical devices within various large, acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. While completing his MBA degree from MSB, Ralph worked at the George Washington University Hospital. In his role there, he served as a quality management data analyst evaluating clinical outcomes data, later tackling] high profile patient experience improvement initiatives as a Patient Experience Manager.
Ralph enjoys being a fitness instructor at two different studios, focusing on running and exercising in his free time, exploring D.C. cuisine (especially desserts), supporting D.C. sports teams, and keeping up with the fashion trends of socks and ties.
Prior to joining the Healthlink Advisors team, Brendan worked in Private Wealth Management at AllianceBernstein for four years, managing investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and small institutions’ endowments, 401Ks, and pension plans. As a summer intern for Healthlink Advisors based out of the Washington, D.C. office, Brendan will spend ten weeks in an intensive healthcare consulting immersion program, working on client and internal facing projects and supporting the development of key proposals.
Brendan holds a BS in Finance from Fordham University and has just wrapped up his first year at MSB. Brendan is a self-diagnosed sports junkie, especially when it comes to football and baseball. While at Fordham, he was the captain and free safety on the football team and following Fordham, New York Jets invited him to participate in a mini-camp.
